At the 11th hour I'm back in the game!

Sumners Ponds near Horsham this Sunday. Nice looking course in a country park with woodland (yeah, no Eastern League grassy fields!), cafe serving Sunday roasts, massage afterwards, bike wash and half price beer!

Ive pre-entered (which usually means I'll be a no show on the day  )

Anyone else?

I'm back at Ipswich on the 4x4 track hoping to scrape my last points of the season. Having hauled my ass from grid row 7 or 8 up to row 3 this year I'm hoping to make the most of the daylight I can see at the front of the pack. For London League I'm a nomark and would be in the "everyone else shove your way forward group" at the back - so only a few seconds in front of you, and I need more of a gap than that. Even this season ;-)

I'm planning on going down to Horsham for this. It just manages to fall within my 50 mile radius rule, and it would be good to get one more race in before calling it a season.

I wasn't going to do any more races this year, but if I can find the time, I may do the Sumners Pond race too. Otherwise getting a new licence for this year would probably have been a complete waste of money. And the post-season Belgian blondes will taste even better after another race.

We'll probably be there, too.

How does it look for that? Eastern and London League do this on the same day. Does that mean everybody goes off East or is there interest in putting in a team for the London league?

I quite like the course for the London League team championships. I just checked the league's FB group. Dougie Fox said it's advanced entry only for teams as per usual, but individuals can still enter on the day. I may do the latter if we don't have a quorum, as I wouldn't be in the points anyway. Anyway, here's the link to the online entry:

Caroline and I were thinking of going, Len also sounded motivated. That would make four including you, Andrew.

I did the LL league one last year. Great fun, never did figure out the scoring though. I'm entered for the Eastern this year though as I need to go to the AGM afterwards. That one's a Madison which no doubt will be even more confusing.

Max, I'm happy to join a team if we have enough people.

I can't make it this year. Unfortunately I will be in Lugano riding with the Assos test team.

Sounds good. Let's make a count next week and then put one in if we're enough.

Have fun.

With the current exchange rates, you can probably recover your travel costs by selling on the complimentary pair of branded socks that they will give you at the end of your visit...

Is anyone up for the race this Sunday at Sumners (frozen) Ponds? I might benefit from a day of practice if I'm not to embarrass myself at the Team Champs.
