Thanks for the suggestion but I've got at least 7 pairs of winter socks already including some Assos ones purchased this week

Get one of these. It sounds brilliant for cyclocross:
http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/lapelled ... duct/LPJ01

"The fabric is lightweight, quick-drying and dirt-resistant and creases will stretch out easily. Twin vents in the shoulders ensure great reach on the bike and the flexible nature of the fabric also means that it will shape to your body when riding. Off the bike it will return to a more relaxed, deconstructed look."

With his £50 voucher, the jacket would cost Stuart only an extra £250. Bargain! And would definitely stand out in a cyclocross race...

Rapha sorted my voucher problems and the new rain jacket arrived today. :D

Nah, I can buy far more expensive and unsuitable jackets than that at work

There's no need to parody Rapha is there? - they do it themselves so well.

I like the "it will shape your body" bit. So it's basically a jacket for fat blokes!

Not Rapha but similar?
The jacket is part of the Travel Tailoring collection. Invented by XXXXX, the suit combines new, modern canvassing and natural memory fabrics designed to flex with the movement of the body, while retaining a sharp, lightweight structure.
Created in Italy using an innovative technique, the fabric is 100% wool. The yarn is woven in a spring-like structure, giving the fabric natural stretch without the need for elastane.
And only £995 a pop. At £300 the Rapha one is steal

Update: Looks like I've hoodwinked Rapha into exchanging my £50 voucher for a far more valuable £50. Get in.

I'd rather have a bit more commitment from them towards an event next year, but ho-hum...
