Boxing Day CX ride

Post by andrewnewman » Sat Dec 13, 2014 3:17 pm

Around my fourth or fifth Affligem last night, Stuart and I determined that this might be a good idea. My plan was to do the ride that launched Cyclocross Rider: http://www.cyclocrossrider.com/riding/kentish-ronde

I missed it the first time, but I have the gpx and it's been on my to do list ever since. It's only 40 km, and it starts and finishes at Cyclopark. That's equally accessible for north and south Londoners, because, hey, can't we all just get along?

So who's game?

I'm game even without the Affligem. Meet at a civilised hour?

It's not a super long ride, so I was thinking 9:00 start.

Funny, I was going to say 10:00. Must have been a slip of the keyboard. 10:00. Yes. That one.

There's a quick train from St. Pancras to Ebbsfleet International. Dead easy.

I'm flex on start time.

Surely plenty of trains. Isn't Boxing Day what we now call Black Friday?

Just checked National Rail. Trains from St. Pancras to Ebbsfleet International at 9:10 and 9:40 on Boxing Day. No excuses, now.

Hmmm. Don't think I'll get away with Boxing Day but I'll try. Might have to save my house points for Snetterton on 28th.
