Dan, it's probably the most relaxed/fun kind of racing you can do on a bike.

Don't worry about tyres, I saw two guys do it last night on a road bike!

im more worried about the level of effort required to get them turning on the road! which might hinder my ability to get there and back!

Well I sat on your wheel back from Thomas & Astrid's hen/stag ride on knobbly tyres when you were TT'ing it ;-)

Seriously, just turn up and ride - you'll be hooked!

The ride out is a seriously slow affair. Save your legs for racing. Just do it.

Do we reckon this will go ahead?

I think it'd be faster if I left my bike in the pits and jogged the course in flippers and a mask.

Too bad b/c the Van Dessel was ready to go and riding sweet.
How slow comes the hour, its passing speed how great

99% sure it's Go-Ride so no licence needed. If I'm wrong you can get a day licence when you sign on.

Occasionally. Herne Hill does cancel a CX race. Apparently its the "wrong type of mud" which rips off a rear mech so much as glance at it (it's the only place Ive ever bust a rear mech to be fair) but more likely they don't like the thought of all that mud on their precious track.

It will be muddy tonight. Have fun

Well that was a lot of fun to watch anyway. Well done all! Maybe I'll join you next time if I can find and bike. Dan embraced the mud...

Oh no, you fitted the chevrons the wrong way round

Don't worry Dan, if you don't crash in CX you're not trying hard enough
