Well done Pat! A win's a win! (Who won the V40s? - Mooney I hope, or was it yet another Aldous title?)
Aldous. Mooney was 3rd.

Least didn't take wrong bike like I did at Hempton , probably good reason not to have a black Ridley XRide which seems to be the ubiquitous pit bike

Knew a good result would be hard with no central or London league races but after one lap of the course knew would be lucky to get top 10.

Usually need one of hills, grass , mud , running and road to do well. Last week had the lot this weeks course was pan flat and largely single track through a wood on a dry but febrile surface .

Got good start even though was telling myself was waste of time and beat Mick Bell to the first corner again. After that my poor cornering and slow acceleration out of bends meant fell back through field .

Actually happy to finish 8th though should have nicked 7th back at the end .

Have to do a decent ride at the other Snetterton course on 3rd Jan.

This course at a very bizarre private school most of whose class rooms were prefabs or huts left over from the war strange what people will pay for be outrage if was a state school.

I don't often watch other races as usually busying myself with race day routine but your race was great today.

Big complaint of the day for me was the closure of the cafe 30 mins into the V40 race. Wtf? I only turn out at these events for the tea and cake!!!

The race itself was quite fun. Like Pat, not the sort of course that works for me but it was fun to ride. Our race was super fast and highlighted the number of young whipper snappers who probably ride ride E12 crits now riding V40 CX. On another day that ride might have scraped a top 10 but not today.

Looking forward to Welwyn in two weeks where there might be a hill!

Cafe was rubbish no cake or sandwiches after our race , MTB course plus no sandwiches or real coffee equals poor venue in my view

I can se the confusion. MTB courses have a bacon/burger bar and crap coffee. Cake and sandwiches, really... Pfft.

Oh dear, come on chaps, the sun was shining, it was warm, there was a field full of pigs and results out the same day (just).
Chin up.

Apologies. Looking at what I wrote it did appear I didn't enjoy my day out. On the contrary, it was a fun race and I did enjoy riding it. Actually one of those days when I wished we had an hour long race...

It still would've been good to get a cuppa before reaching the A11

Back at Snetterton again but the other side of the old US 8th Airforce base from before Xmas.

One of my favourite venues , good course , indoor pits near the car park and good facilities with cafe not to mention a few horses ( probably brighter than the kids at the private school we were at last time out) .

Essentialy flat circuit and possibly not attritional enough for me though didn't have legs today anyway though enjoy riding it despite my technical inadequecies being exposed on the twister sections .

Didn't do well here last year so happy with result , started well but just didn't have fitness to maintain top three place for more than two laps. Good ride by Neil for 4th . Beat Clive H but not by enough places to catch him in league where appropriately I will finish 4th as he now has 10 point lead over me with one race go while I have 100 point lead on rider in 5th .

Was a good day out weather was fantastic and was interesting to do a different type of course and journey back from Snetterton to East London is so easy , moans about the facilities bit tongue in check though us old school guys do like the traditional post race refreshments
