Apologies to the purists for the old/new kit hybrid…
I started back in pen 3 with the eager juniors who tried to squeeze about 10 across, and being half wheeled by the guy behind. Was pleasantly surprised to remain upright and moving forward in that group. Very quickly ran into the back of pen 2 and it all became a bit of a bunfight, but I managed to stay with the quicker ones. Into the pictured section on the first lap was a bit chaotic and a few even tried to ride it, none successfully that I saw.
A great course, as always and quite technical in places. I was picking my way forward until about half way through when I stacked it and banged my shin rather painfully – took about half a lap to ride that off. Got lapped a bit sooner than I’d hoped, but avoided the ignominy of being lapped twice. Even picked a few more off on the last couple of laps as people tired. Not on great form but always good to be on the bike.
Roll on the MTB now…

Does that mean you're going to take your CX form and join in on the MSG race at Stratford at the end of the month?Chris Clague wrote:

I'm not sure I'd call it 'form' but planning to give it a go.
