It's right around the corner from me. Can I volunteer for most of the day and still race or dies it depend on the number of volunteers?

Max is on holiday in Indonesia. However, I have exchanged a couple of emails with him and he thinks we need 15 people. So I guess if we can exceed that number then we can race, otherwise it might be a bit tricky.

Be good if you can make it. If nothing else it would be great to say hello!

Study and work have combined to restrict both my cycling and volunteering this year.
However I will be able to help out on Sunday, though it would be good to have a rough idea of the expected end time as I have an evening commitment.

I'm not sure who we have who is a first aider. I have done the course several times but my certification ran out a few months ago, not sure whether that is sufficient?
I'm not fussed about racing at all if that helps a bit.

Yes, we are still very short on volunteers. We have eight (plus Caroline and myself), but we need a minimum of 15 or so to fill all the posts (and don't embarrass ourselves in front of our evidently more community-spirited co-organisers Brixton Cycles). Having more would obviously be better, so people can take a break/race/arrive late/leave early without everything falling apart.

We had also intended to have a cake stall and put up a BBQ to sell burgers. This would bring in good money for the club coffers. But unless we get more people before Sunday (when I have to tell the velodrome café whether we want them to offer catering or not), we will have to pull the plug on that. That would be a shame!

So if anyone is available, please, please sign up! And bring a cake!

This is a big event with hundreds of racers and it would be great if we could show us at our best.

I'm really sorry that I can't help on this one Max. It'll be the first CX marshalling I've missed in ages. I'm off climbing Scafell Pike with my son on the day...
