Bits of me hurt that I didn't know could hurt.

Stopped for a total of 20 mins, 27 laps, 190 miles, 30,000ft climbing, 24 hours 10 mins total. 7th Solo. I'm in bits today. I'll get a full blog post up shortly with a more detailed look at the race.

Ellis, you were riding super strong, how you did that course solo, on a rigid SS I do not know. Did you get 24 in the end?

Did 23 laps in the end, which got me 15th solo male. Had a sneaky little sleep between 2 and 4 but was otherwise pedalling.
Riding rigid was tough my hands and forearms have taken a bit of a beating!! Riding the singlespeed seemed to work OK with similar lap times to geared bikes; you just bosh up the hills then chill on the flats for a bit of recovery.
Loved the weekend, my first 24hr solo and one of the best things I've done. Going to try for straight through next time!

Thanks both.

There were times on my last two laps when I thought i'm not sure I want to do this anymore. Then I thought of Adrian riding across America
