@Chris

I'm really sorry but family commitments, a doctors appointment and a washer/dryer delivery have conspired to mean I'm no longer available to help course build on Saturday. Mucho apologies.

I'd just like to say in advance that due to my shoulder and back being in pieces I need to marshal Stuart style, so I'll be bringing a deck chair and my best Primarni sunnies. :D

OTOH, I'll be bringing an assistant for course-building. And maybe a deck chair.

Hello marshals. Chris C delivered some course maps to me today and I've been working out how best to split the jobs. We seem to have good cover now so should be able to double up in places and give people a chance to move around a bit and watch racing from a number of different perspectives. With people arriving at 8.30, I suggest we have a briefing/kit hand out at 8.40 outside the club house thing.

Everyone will have a course map, a list of the race times, walkie-talkies (at all the locations if not one each). Car park people will have a map of the overspill car park in the industrial estate. There will also be course tape for running repairs. If there's anything else people can think of that they might need or have needed before, let me know.

My mobile is 07956 031077.

Course building #nodeckchairrequired - all good - we did September with 3 and we've got about a dozen this time. I might even take my bike in the hope of riding one of my courses for the first time ever (and there have been a few now)

Is everyone sorted for lifts?
Kate and I will be travelling round the North Circular from Harlesden to Hog Hill and can pick some one up if needed.

What does the role entail? Can I do it in '90s Garage style?

We're waiting on a sick note from Dan J...

90's garage - do it! should be a laugh. Role is bit of talking, handing out medals and prizes, and you can bring music too. Just trying to create a bit of atmosphere. I can give you a race programme so you can spot the leaders.. Would be fantastic if you could help out.

Thanks

No problem. I might not bother with the garage nation stylings though, banging techno is the usual (euro) choice! 3.5mm jack (iPod) connection for music?

I'd guess so - roving mic and separate sound box being brought by Russ of Hackney GT

Liam, I'm still rough and going to bed in bed today, thanks for stepping in last minute. Hope it all goes grand!

Huge huge thanks to everyone who helped out today, and especially Liam for stepping in at the last minute. I have almost no idea how it all went as I saw so little of it, but I *think* people enjoyed it. Big effort all round to ensure it went smoothly. Thanks guys.

Well done Chris and team great event total contrast to last years UKIP cc London league shambles so professional.

Really tough muddy course as ever at Hogg Hill.

Would have been happy with a top ten finish in a strong field at the start and happy with 7th ish just behind Neil who had a good ride having to contend with a flat. Party tricks of hole shot start and running where others ride worked well , less good on the off camber and downhill bits but know that anyway .

Give central location and quality of today's event perhaps LP should permanently host regionals at Hogg Hill minus London League time keeping etc.
